This painting was a labor of love. At the time of painting this, I was really breaking out of a long period of feeling like I had no direction and uncertaintly of where I was going in life and I just started painting to gain peace and clarity. It took me several days to complete and each day felt like I was getting clearer and clearer about things. I started to feel magic with every brush stroke. I kept painting and painting until it told me I was done. I am very happy with it. When I look at it I feel joy. It has done the work for me and I am ready to share it with you.
ABOUT THIS PAINTING
This painting was the first large painting that I made after long period of not painting for years. It was the time I decided to be free and go for what I wanted to do. Prior to this I painted always small but a small part of me I wanted to paint something big. I wanted to dance with paint across the canvas so I did with paint. I built this canvas myself and did not limit myself to painting reality. I wanted to maked something I found beautiful and freeing. For me, painting is about both the process and the result. I enjoy painting and without this first step, I wouldn't be where I am today.
